Luxury travel trends to watch in the upcoming year

Luxury travel is no longer simply about opulent accommodations and exotic destinations. Nowadays, a new wave of trends is reshaping the industry, driven by a desire for personalization, authenticity, and meaningful experiences.

Savvy travelers are seeking hidden gems over crowded hotspots, private experiences that offer exclusivity, and opportunities to connect with local cultures on a deeper level. So, are you ready to discover the key trends that will define luxury travel in the coming year?

Explore the future of high-end travel, where exclusive services, curated itineraries, and unforgettable moments are paramount. Contact an authorized travel agency to start planning your next luxury escape.

Sky-high demand: Private jet travel is still soaring

Let's get straight to the point: private jet travel isn't just for celebrities anymore. While it's always been a symbol of luxury, something shifted in recent years, and now it's experiencing a surge in popularity that's rewriting the rules of high-end travel.

Remember the pandemic? It turns out that was a watershed moment for private aviation. People weren't just seeking luxury, they were prioritizing safety, flexibility, and control over their travel experiences. And the numbers don’t lie, demand surged by over 20%!

But it's not just about avoiding crowded airports. Today's private jet travelers are after something more:

  • Bespoke experiences

  • Unmatched convenience

  • Ultimate in privacy

With new ownership models and booking technologies making private aviation more accessible, it's no wonder that this trend is set to continue its climb. So, what’s driving this continued sky-high demand, and what does it mean for the future of luxury travel?

Solo Travel: the new status symbol

Let's be real, the image of the lone backpacker is so last decade. These days, solo travel is less about roughing it and more about owning your travel experience – and luxury brands are scrambling to keep up.

Forget awkward single supplements and feeling like the odd one out. The solo traveler is now a VIP, with hotels rolling out the red carpet and tour operators designing itineraries specifically for those flying solo. Seriously, have you seen the incredible solo-only suites on some of the new luxury cruise ships?

So, what’s fueling this trend? Well, for many luxury travelers, it’s about freedom and control. No more compromising on itineraries or enduring travel companions with questionable taste. It's about indulging your passions, on your schedule, with no apologies.

But it’s also about something deeper: self-discovery. Hitting the road solo forces you to step outside your comfort zone, connect with new people, and learn a thing or two about yourself along the way.

And the numbers don’t lie – solo travel bookings are through the roof. This isn't a fleeting fad, it's a fundamental shift in how people are approaching luxury travel.

So, ready to ditch the plus-one and embrace the adventure of solo travel? It might just be the most empowering (and luxurious) experience of your life.

Coolcation: the new escape from heat

What exactly is a coolcation? It's a vacation in a cooler climate, offering respite from the scorching temperatures of traditional summer hotspots. And it's not just about escaping the heat; it's about embracing a new way of traveling.

Are you ready to swap your beach towel for a cozy blanket and explore destinations that offer a refreshing change of pace?

The numbers don't lie. A survey by Virtuoso found that a staggering 82% of luxury travelers are interested in coolcations for 2025, with bookings to Scandinavian countries surging by over 25%. Why the sudden shift? Well, it's not just about comfort; it's about sustainability, avoiding crowds, and discovering new adventures.

Coolcations are more than just a trend; they're a conscious choice. They offer a chance to explore less crowded destinations, engage in unique experiences, and connect with nature in a more meaningful way. Imagine kayaking through Norway's fjords, soaking in Icelandic hot springs, or hiking the Scottish Highlands – all without the oppressive heat.

Savoring the Soul of a Destination: The rise of cultural and culinary immersion

Let's talk about the real luxury in travel today: cultural and culinary immersion. It's not just about where you stay or how you get there; it's about diving deep into the heart of a place, tasting its essence, and connecting with its people. And guess what? This trend is taking luxury travel by storm.

Why? Because travelers are no longer content with just seeing the sights. They want to feel the culture, taste the traditions, and live the local life. And what better way to do that than through food?

Imagine this: you're not just eating a meal; you're partaking in a centuries-old tradition. In Italy, you're learning to make pasta from scratch with a local nonna, or in Japan, you're sipping matcha during a private tea ceremony. These aren't just meals; they're stories, history, and culture served on a plate.

But it's not only about the food. Cultural immersion means engaging with local artisans, joining in traditional ceremonies, and exploring markets where the real heartbeat of a destination lies. It's about understanding the why behind the what – why do locals eat this way, celebrate this way, live this way?

Beyond the Beaten Path: Luxury's New Frontiers

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

The luxury travel map is being redrawn, and it's about time we talked about it. While Paris and the Maldives aren't going anywhere, sophisticated travelers are setting their sights on unexpected horizons. But here's the real story: it's not just about finding the next undiscovered paradise in luxury villas – it's about how these emerging destinations are becoming more accessible than ever.

Take Saudi Arabia, for instance. Once virtually closed to tourism, it's now rolling out the red carpet with ultra-luxury hotel resorts and ambitious projects like NEOM. Or consider Georgia (the country, not the state), where ancient wine traditions meet contemporary luxury in a setting that feels refreshingly authentic.

But accessibility isn't just about new destinations opening up. It's about how we get there. Private aviation is expanding its routes, luxury train services are launching new journeys, and exclusive yacht charters are exploring previously hard-to-reach coastlines. The question isn't whether you can get there – it's how luxuriously you want to arrive.

What's driving this shift? For one, luxury travelers are craving bragging rights to places their friends haven't visited. But more importantly, they're seeking authentic experiences in destinations that haven't been overdeveloped. These emerging locations offer something increasingly rare in luxury travel: genuine surprise and discovery. Discover how a concierge luxury design team can craft your next extraordinary journey here.

However, without a doubt, the most exclusive way to experience St. Tropez is by renting your own luxury villa. St. Tropez boasts an array of opulent villas available for rent, providing utmost privacy, stunning Mediterranean views, private pools, and top-tier amenities.

A Week in Mykonos

A Luxury Travel Itinerary to Greece's Most Glamorous Island

Mykonos is the quintessential bohemian island for spending days lounging in the sun and nights dancing under the stars.

Rich in ancient Greek history and stunning natural beauty, the Greek island has been a travel destination for artists and hippies since the 50s and 60s.

Today, Mykonos is a haven for A-list celebrities and those who embrace an alternative lifestyle, admire beautiful architecture and scenery, and appreciate the finest organic foods and the greatest beach parties.

Our CEO Niko Contardi recently visited Mykonos to experience the Greek boho-chic island lifestyle and scope out the hottest Mykonos beach clubs, restaurants, bars, and destinations on the island.

The result of Niko's trip is everything you must do and see in Mykonos packed into a seven-day luxury travel itinerary:

Day 1-2 in Mykonos: Psarou & Paraga Beach

In your first few days in Mykonos, you want to head to one of the five beaches along the south coast of the island. For absolute luxury, there is only one choice: Psarou Beach — the most famous and trendiest on the island.

Located in the south around four kilometers from Mykonos Town, the 150m long beach is the top pick beach among celebs and VIPs for good reason: it's emerald green water, dramatic scenery, and upscale Mykonos beach clubs.

Psarou sits within a well-sheltered bay, making it the ideal anchoring point for the island's most expensive and beautiful yachts. It's also home to many high-end restaurants and beach bars, the most famous among them being Nammos Beach Club.

While it has an upscale bohemian chilled-out atmosphere, there's always a party breaking out at Nammos. The extremely popular Mykonos beach club and restaurant is simply the place to be and be seen in The Cyclades. To avoid not getting in or waiting in long lines, make sure to arrive early or book ahead with your luxury travel agent.

The next beaches along the coast are Platis Gialos — with lots of restaurants and a water taxi to Paradise Beach — and Agia Anna Beach, where you will find the famous Nikolas Taverna. We recommend heading to the bustling Paraga Beach and home of three Mykonos beach clubs: the luxurious SantAnna, chilled-out Kalua, & the ultra-stylish Scorpios.

A favorite of our CEO Niko Contardi, the must-visit Scorpios is a space of art, design, food, music, and healing. Named one of the best beach clubs in the world by Conde Nast Traveler in 2020, the boho-chic design and award-winning food attract a sophisticated crowd that like to party hard and in style.

Day 3-4 in Mykonos: Chora & Naxos

After a few days of beach living, it's time to head to the main town. The heart of Mykonos is Chora — the vibrant capital that is home to many whitewashed churches (including the renowned Panagia Paraportiani, the most photographed in the Aegean), the Mykonos Windmills (great for sunset views), and endless, charming maze-like cobbled streets.

Chora is full of souvenir stores, luxury chic boutique shops, seaside bars, tiny cafes, cool brunch spots (check out The Liberty Breakfast Room), fine dining restaurants, lively clubs, and waterfront tavernas serving delicious seafood and local dishes. It also has its own romantic Little Venice neighborhood, with its colorful houses perched above the sea.

After getting your shopping fix, pay a visit to the Mykonos Archaeological Museum. Built in 1902, the museum houses a beautiful and rich collection of Greek pottery, sculptures, and antiques. There's also the Folklore Museum which contains old furniture, ceramics, Byzantine icons, and hand-woven textiles.

Several island and day trips depart from the main port near Chora. Two you don't want to miss are the Cycladic island of Delos, the mythological birthplace of Apollo, and the historic and up-and-coming Naxos.

Naxos is well known for its traditional villages, beaches, and Greek history and mythology. Lesser known is that it's also a hub of gastronomic experiences. Be sure to check out Yazoo, with its buzzing atmosphere and amazing menu of cocktails and Cretan-Naxian dishes.

Chora is just as famous for its history as it is for its legendary food and parties. By night, its narrow streets are filled with crowds, many of which are heading to Pasta Fresca Barkia for the best pasta and seafood spaghetti in Mykonos, BAOs for incredible cocktails and sea views, and Lola for an intimate and romantic seaside experience with a flamboyant crowd.

Wherever you go, most end up in Skandinavian Bar and Disco, a Mykonos Institution with three floors that pours out on the streets.

Day 5-6 in Mykonos: Ftelia & Panormos Beach

You don't want to finish a trip in Mykonos without checking out the Northside of the island.

The northside of Mykonos is much more chilled out and relaxed than the Southern side. It's perfect for boat days, family outings, snorkeling, island hopping, wildlife and sea life spotting, massage, walking, etc.

Those still looking for bohemian Mykonos beach clubs won't be disappointed: The cosmopolitan Alemagou on Ftelia Beach and the high-end Principote on Panormos Beach are two of the best on the island.

Also known as a windsurfers paradise, Ftelia beach is one of the most tranquil and bohemian in Mykonos. Its strong northern winds mean it's not optimum for swimming or sunbathing, but for the same reason, it means that even in July and August it's not very crowded.

Sitting on the left side of Ftelia beach, Almegaou is an all-day beach destination, offering coffee, breakfast, food, cocktails, swimming, and dancing. If you prefer more action, it's also the perfect base for watersports such as windsurfing, kite surfing, beginners and advanced surfing, and diving.

Ftelia is a part of the big Panormos bay that is also home to Panormos Beach. This well-sheltered, unspoiled beach is a haven for snorkeling and the home of the laid-back and luxurious Principote Beach Club. Accessible by car or beach club moorings (the best way to see the North is by car or yacht), this Mykonos beach club has a particularly impressive fine dining restaurant, complete with an Aegean-inspired sushi bar and a VIP restaurant area.

If seeking even more privacy, a short drive along the coast is Agios Sostis: a completely undeveloped beach surrounded by sloping hills. Armenistis Lighthouse is also a must-visit and a great excuse to reach the northwest tip of the island.

Day 7 in Mykonos: Luxury In-Villa Event

By your final day in Mykonos, there’s likely a place you wanted to visit and didn't get the chance to or a place you are dying to go back to.

Maybe it's another Italian-Greek meal at the iconic Nammos restaurant. Or a particular music performance at Scorpios. You may prefer to spend your last night in your accommodation, indulging in in-villa services such as spa treatments, gourmet meal preparation, DJs, fire-dancers, and other luxury travel agent perks.

Exclusively situated above the world-famous Psarou Beach, Psarou Delight stands out among luxury villa rentals in Mykonos. The 20-guest, 5,000 SqMt luxury Mykonos property rental boasts panoramic sea views, a gym, a heated infinity pool, and a 14-person jacuzzi. All this while being a short drive from the hottest nightlife and gastronomy on Mykonos.

The best way to end your trip in Mykonos depends on why you're traveling — for relaxation and restoration, celebration and partying, or nature and adventure.

As a luxury travel agent, we design luxury travel itineraries based on the purpose of your trip and your unique preferences. Contact us today to begin planning your epic 2022 Mykonos summer vacation.

The rules of travel to Europe have changed.

Starting in 2024, anyone traveling from one of some 60 visa-exempt countries is required to have authorization to enter most European countries.

The process should only take minutes, cost $7, and approvals will be given almost immediately once the payment has gone through.

But there are many things to consider. Not least the fact there are several scam websites trying to steal your personal information with fake ETIAS applications.

ETIAS is currently not in operation and no applications are collected at this point.

However, if you want to make sure the ETIAS application doesn’t disrupt your 2024 travel plans and that you’re fully prepared, you’ll want to check out our answers to the most common questions surrounding its rollout.

Patina Hotel in the Maldives

Patina Maldives: The Best Maldives Resort For Bespoke Experience-Led Travel

Although the luxury resort only opened a year and a half ago (May 2021), Patina Maldives has already received a slew of attention and awards in the travel and design world—including from names such as Condé Nast and Architectural Digest.

There was certainly buzz about the debut lifestyle resort from Singapore-based Capella Hotels & Resorts. The luxury hospitality expert is known for bespoke travel experiences, and with Patina, their plan is to bring curated experiences to those looking to connect on a deeper level with their location.

As the Maldives resort is already receiving many repeat visitors, it seems Patina Maldives has managed to achieve exactly what it set out to do and more.

Built on a quad of man-made islands, Patina Maldives is found on the largest of the four Fari Islands in the northern part of North Male Atoll. As also the home of the Ritz-Carlton Maldives resort, The Fari islands seem destined to become one of the most exclusive sets of islands in the Maldives.

To discover if Patina Maldives lives up to all the hype, EliteLyfe personally stayed at the resort this year (September 2022). Members of the luxury travel team scoped out its amenities, accommodation, service, activities and more to ensure everything lives up to the highest standards possible.

Sustainability & Community-Driven Amenities

As a luxury lifestyle hotel, Patina Maldives has a strong focus on well-being, shared experiences, and in particular, sustainability.

The resort is a radical example of biophilic design—an architectural approach that brings natural systems and processes into the built environment. From zero-waste kitchens to beach clean-ups to nurturing next-generation respect, Patina attempts to give back to the environment much more than it takes.

Even with this environmentally conscious approach, guests are spoiled for choice with luxury amenities. You can be pampered in the zen-inspired spa, receive bodywork therapy in the watsu pool, immerse yourself in marine life with the dive center, or work on your game on the tennis courts.

One of the top amenities at Patina Maldives is the easy access to Fari Marina Village and Fari Beach Club, where guests find a 20-berth marina and social hub with restaurants, bars, shops, and interactive music programs.

The wide selection of luxury amenities available at Patina Maldives includes:

  • The best kid's club in the Maldives, divided into different sections based on age, with a tech area with 3D printers, a drawing room, and even a room is a small kitchen for culinary art classes.

  • A dive center powered by Swimsol offshore solar panels (as well as the kid’s club).

  • Modern spa building inspired by Japanese gardens with ponds and common areas to rest and independent squared huts for massages.

  • A small gym with all the needed equipment for training

  • Next to Patina is the Ritz-Carlton, guest can visit their spa or simply have dinner there

Bespoke Activities to Foster Creativity & Wholeness

The Capella brand is known for curating bespoke travel vacations that are tailored to every guest. With Patina, the resort has a dedicated team of experts whose sole focus is to design creative and sustainable experiences for every guest.

The experiential philosophy of Patina Maldives extends to the design of the space itself. With a boho-chic design that exudes vibes of Scorpio Beach Club in Greece, guests are immersed in sustainable materials such as woods, linen, and rattan and arresting artworks from artists like Brazilian photographer Cássio Vasconcellos and New York-based textile artist Hiroko Takeda.

Some of the top experiences include dolphin spotting from Patina’s superyacht, taking part in beach clean-ups on neighboring islands, chilling out in the floatation zone, and following maps to discover hidden art installations such as “Skyspace” by world-renowned U.S. artist James Turrell.

Each experience at Patina Maldives seems to be designed to foster wholeness, expand creativity, and connect you back to the natural world.

Here's a taste of the activities and experiences you can expect at Patina Maldives:

  • Complimentary evening cocktails & canapes at Portico, the social hub of Patina Maldives.

  • Usage of bikes, snorkeling sets, stand-up paddleboards and kayaks.

  • Luxury boat transfer for stays of four consecutive nights or more.

  • Introductory dive for kids.

  • Racing cars in the Fab Lab and team sports and games.

  • Coral reef seeding and adoption of injured sea creatures.

  • Night snorkeling and responsible wild dolphin spotting.

  • Solo painting, silent trance festivals, and captivating discourses by visiting speakers.

  • Wellbeing treatments using a well-being philosophy called Flow.

Secluded Accommodation & Thoughtful Service

The accommodation options at Patina Maldives are typical of the region: overwater villas and beach houses in various sizes. But what is far from typical is that each villa is designed to be a sustainable and artistic joy for the senses.

The luxury resort's low-level structures, designed by Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan and his company Studio MK27, lie organically in the natural flora. Each of the ninety one- to three-bedroom Water Pool and Beach villas and twenty Fari Studios are designed to deliver both isolation and a sense of belonging under the concept, “together in isolation”.

Each luxury villa is home to large-scale images of Maldivian flora by Cássio Vasconcellos as well as custom-designed millwork furnishings, control panels integrated into the bed frames, and other items sourced from leading designers such as BassamFellows, Gervasoni, LinBrasil, Devon, Vitra, Paola Lenti, and Carlos Motta.

As expected from the bespoke travel branch of the Capella brand, the service is outstanding. You are greeted onto the island by clapping, smiling faces, waiting staff learn your dietary preferences, and your Essentialist, Patina’s answer to private butlers, is available around-the-clock via WhatsApp to arrange dinner reservations, drop off snorkeling kits, and add thoughtful touches.

The range of accommodation at Patina Maldives includes:

  • One-bedroom villas on island or out on the ocean with private pools

  • Two-bedroom villas with large communal living spaces and huge movable glass walls on all sides

  • A three-bedroom Beach House with rooftop terrace and large private pool

  • Studios within close proximity Fari Marina Village

Intimate & Social Culinary Experiences

The culinary experience at Patina Maldives is not just about eating, it's about exploring the effects of nature’s superfoods to naturally hack your well-being and immune system through food.

This could be delving into the science behind kombucha, learning to pair organic wines with ingredients from their permaculture-led garden, or simply enjoying the creations of chef Derrick Wales, a pioneer in plant-based dining in the Maldives.

With seven restaurants to choose from, including Moroccan, Greek, Japanese, Nordic, and South American cuisine, guests are spoiled for choice. Patina Maldives is also currently the only luxury resort in the Maldives that has three food trucks on the property, one of which, “Tuk Tuk”, offers free gelato during the afternoons.

More of what you can expect from the culinary experience at Patina Maldives includes:

  • Breakfast buffet with a great variety of pastries, fresh fruits, salads, inlays, smoked salmon, Iberico ham, etc.

  • Intimate tastings and private dinners in Farine

  • Several more diverse options at Fari Marina Village

Getting to Patina Maldives

The closest international airport to Patina Maldives is Velana International Airport, and the Fari Islands are reachable by a 45-minutes luxury speedboat transfer. Guests receive complimentary transfers between the Patina Maldives and Ritz Carlton Maldives with a restaurant reservation.

The peak season in the Maldives is from January to April. A great time to visit is between November and April when fewer people are traveling and the climate is warm and tropical.

2022 Top 10 Beaches in The World for A Luxury Vacation

In 2022, traveling out of the country for a beach vacation needs to be worth the time and the hassle. There's no better way to guarantee time and energy well spent than to visit one of the world's best beaches.

These beaches are the destinations you longed to visit when you couldn’t travel, and where you booked flights to as soon as you could once again.

They're the places that regularly appear at the top of reviews by travel experts and visitors, as well as surveys that rate everything from facilities and amenities to the quality of the water and the friendliness of the locals.

Starting with number 10, let’s dive into our rundown of the world's best beaches and discover exactly what makes them so special.

10. Trunk Bay, US Virgin Islands

As one of the most photographed beaches in the Caribbean, Trunk Bay also unsurprisingly makes a regular appearance on the list of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

The half-kilometer-long stretch of sparkling white sand is found on the northern side of St Johns island in the US Virgin Islands. The beach is backed by thick, towering coconut palms that extend over the sand and provide a natural shade and is fronted by aqua blue water that offers extraordinary views and snorkeling.

A highlight at Trunk Bay is the self-guided Underwater Snorkeling Trail, with underwater information about coral formations and sea life. Trunk Bay is the only St. John beach that charges an entrance fee, but it is more than worth it.

9. Playa del Amor (Hidden Beach), Isla Marietas, Mexico

A true one-of-a-kind beach, Playa del Amor, commonly known as the Hidden Beach, seems as if it came straight out of a fantasy novel.

Located on one of the Marieta Islands, 22 nautical miles west of Puerto Vallarta at the mouth of Banderas Bay, this beach is completely hidden from view until you arrive just a few feet away. Suddenly, the surface of the lush green island opens up to reveal a wide, sandy cavern with the blue waters of the Pacific rushing in.

No boats can arrive into the bay, so visitors must swim under the rocks. Once you arrive, the crystal-clear water and ample shade will mean you'll never want to leave.

8. Hyams Beach, New South Wales, Australia

Renowned for its powdery white sand, Hyams Beach in Jervis Bay on the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia, is the complete beach vacation destination.

Aquarium-clear snorkeling water, packs of dolphins, seals, and penguins, and walkable secluded bays and beaches sit harmoniously at the fringe of the Jervis Bay National Park. In the park, visitors can go trail walking, birdwatching, and get intentionally lost in the lush forest.

Hyams Beach is tucked in between some of the most beautiful beaches in Australia, such as Murrays Beach and Greenpatch, and is located 3 hours drive from Sydney.

7. Playa Paraiso, Tulum, Mexico

Sitting just south of the Tulum archeological ruins, the wide Playa Paraíso is consistently ranked as the best beach in Mexico and is frequently tops the list of best beaches in the world.

Stretching far and wide along the coast, Playa Paraiso is just a short journey from the extremely popular Playa del Carmen and Cancún, making it popular amongst daytrippers and locals alike. Although it lacks some of the privacy and tranquility of other beaches on this list, it makes up for it with plenty of opportunities for watersports and an array of luxurious bars, restaurants, nightlife, and beach clubs.

You can pack your own towels, chairs, and snacks, or pay for access to the beach club (about $10 to $15 for two beach chairs, or minimum service charge for the restaurant daybeds).

6. Baia Dos Porcos, Brazil

One of the smallest beaches on this list, Baía dos Porcos has just 100m of golden sands divided by huge dark volcanic rocks that rise up on all sides.

This rock-studded beach is home to white sands and unbelievably turquoise waters, including many pools with colorful fish due to the shelter provided by the high walls of black stone. Visitors also find sensational panoramas of the Morro Dois Irmãos and calm, gentle waters for swimming.

Access to Baia Dos Porcos is only possible during low tide as it's necessary to cross a headland from neighboring Praia Cacimba do Padre.

5. Navagio Beach (Shipwreck Cove), Greece

Navagio Beach, also known as Shipwreck Cove, on the Greek Island of Zakynthos (Zante) off the southwest coast of Greece is not just a beach but also the site of a world-famous shipwreck.

The stunning Greek beach is surrounded by brilliant blue ocean water on one side and towering limestone cliffs on its 3 other sides. Right in the middle sits the rusting remains of an old shipwreck: the MV Panayiotis, after washing up on the shores of the bay in October 1980.

Navagio Beach is only accessible by boat. It is worth adding to your itinerary while exploring Zante's magnificent beaches, secluded coves, and verdant valleys.

4. Pink Sands Beach, Bahamas

Found on Harbour Island, one of the smaller islands of the Bahamas, Pink Sands Beach is aptly named for its 5km long stretch of unbelievable soft pink sand.

The pink color makes this beach one of the most unusual and impressive beaches in the world. The light rose color is a result of foraminifera — a marine animal — and its red shell, which crushes and mixes with the white sand. Located along the island's eastern Atlantic Ocean side, the beach is a highly desirable vacation destination, offering numerous activities, great beaches, and luxury resorts.

You can get to Harbour Island via a ferry from Eleuthera, with easy access from Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

3. Anse Lazio, Seychelles

Sitting along Chevalier Bay on Praslin's north coast in Seychelles, Anse Lazio beach is an incredibly secluded tropical beach paradise.

The calm waters and abundance of underwater life at Anse Lazio have earned the beach international acclaim, especially by snorkelers and marine life enthusiasts. Located to the northeast of Madagascar, the beach is bordered by large unearthly granite boulders and is completely engulfed by thick tropical greenery,

Anse Lazio sits about 11km northwest of Baie Ste and is easily accessed by car, bus, or bike from the island's main road.

2. Whitehaven Beach, Whitsundays, Australia

An award-winning beach on Whitsunday Island, the largest of the seventy-four islands in the Whitsundays, Whitehaven Beach stretches over 7km and is home to white silica sand that is among the purest in the world.

Many people claim Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet, a stunning inlet (best seen from Tongue Point) where the tide shifts the sand and water to create an ethereal fusion of colors, are the most beautiful places they've ever seen. The sand at Whitehaven Beach contains 98% silica, meaning it is extremely fine and soft, with some comparing the consistency to that of baby powder.

Whitehaven Beach is best experienced as a day trip via ferry, powerboat, or luxury cruising yacht that departs from Airlie Beach.

1. Grace Bay, Turks and Caicos

Our top pick here at EliteLyfe and the recipient of many designations, awards, and accolades, Grace Bay Beach is clearly the world's best beach for too many reasons to mention.

The 4.8km long beach is located on the northeast coast of the island of Providenciales and is home to an extensive barrier reef, situated about a mile (1.6 km) offshore. The reef protects Grace Bay from the ocean swells of the Atlantic, helping to keep the water calm and safe, and providing endless opportunities for snorkeling, kiteboarding, kayaking, and more.

Grace Bay Beach is where you find nearly all of the large and luxury resorts on Providenciales, as well as world-class dining, entertainment, and nightlife. A huge perk of Grace Bay is that the remote island of Providenciales is less than a 2-hour flight from Miami and a little over 3 hours from New York.

Allow EliteLyfe's luxury travel team to arrange everything for your next luxury beach vacation, from pre-travel itineraries to restaurant reservations, so you enjoy every single moment to its fullest.

Miami: A Booming City

Miami has long been known as an international travel destination. The cosmopolitan melting pot is overflowing with culture, art, food, and an impressive nightlife.

On top of that, the weather is good year-round, with mild winters and hot summers, making it the perfect retreat for those looking to escape from the brutal East Coast climates.

Miami's heavy Latino influence draws people from all parts of the globe (you can’t go far without passing a bar or restaurant playing Latin music). But what makes the city really special is its one-of-a-kind offering of world-class hospitality, dining, and endless MIami VIP events.

Why Miami is an Up & Coming City

The second-largest metropolis on the East Coast, Miami is a highly desirable place to live, work, retire, or just spend a few days vacation. Home to the Miami Heat and Miami Dolphins, as well as David Beckham’s Club Internacional de Futbol Miami and the 2022 Formula One Grand Prix, you’ll find no shortage of global sporting events.

If you like to party, you'll never tire of Miami’s world-class restaurants, hotels, shops, cruises, and beaches. The city also has an impressive visual and performing arts scene. Wynwood and the Design District are two neighborhoods that have been completely transformed to showcase some of the best art and design talent Miami has to offer.

Top Events Happening in Miami

There are dozens of international Miami VIP events happening all year round. The following events are some of the biggest on the global stage and bring with them some incredibly exclusive experiences that are not to be missed.

Ultra Music Festival

If you’re looking for an unforgettable weekend in Miami, look no further than one of the best music festivals in the world: Ultra Music Festival.

After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the festival is back and ready to make up for lost time. The three-day festival, which will take place from the 25th to the 27th of March, will host over 150,000 people at Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami.

There are very few festivals in the world that manage to get such a quality lineup, with Afrojack, Alison Wonderland, David Guetta, DJ Snake, Nicky Romero, Tiesto, and Zed’s Dead, plus 20 more headliners and almost 150 supporting acts. If that seems too much, Ultra also has its own app to help you remember the acts you want to see and to notify you of any announcements or schedule changes.

VIP admission allows for expedited entry, dedicated restrooms and bars, a VIP Village, and an exclusive deck with the best seats in the house for the Ultra Main Stage.

The Miami Open

From the 21st of March to the 3rd of April, 2022, the renowned Hard Rock Stadium will host one of the world’s greatest two-week tennis tournaments. With a return to full capacity, the skill and talent that draws in crowds from all over the world will be on full display, with names including Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Nick Kyrgios, and Naomi Osaka.

Outside of the matches themselves, there'll be an array of entertainment options, with the Open bringing in an exclusively curated mix of music, food, and fashion. Local artists will also be painting murals throughout the space.

Miami VIP Event and Luxury Suite packages are available, offering VIP parking, express lanes, an exclusive entrance, and all-inclusive upscale food and beverage options.

LIV Miami

Since opening in 2008, LIV has been one of the hottest and most star-studded clubs in the whole of Miami. LIV once held Skrillex and Justin Bieber in the same weekend and there’s a rumor that Mark Cuban once spent 100K there on a bottle of champagne.

Last summer, the club closed for a $10 million renovation and has managed to come back with more impressive events than ever. In March, you can look forward to LIV hosting David Guetta, Tiesto, and Pusha T, among others. Owner David Grutman has called Sunday nights at LIV “the biggest hip-hop party in the world.” That might seem like a big claim, but with chart-topping artists and 400 LED panels that orchestrate choreographed light shows and take up the ceiling of the entire club, we can see where he’s coming from.

Miami VIP event bottle service packages at LIV Miami range from $1,500 to $6,000.

2022 Miami Grand Prix

On the 8th of May Miami will, for the first time, be home to the Formula 1 Grand Prix at the Miami International Autodrome.

This action-packed race circles the Hard Rock Stadium, home to Miami Dolphins, and will see drivers reach average speeds of 222km/h. While the first Grand Prix in Miami took place in 1926, Formula 1 has never visited the city. With a significant investment in the infrastructure of the city and the race, the Miami Grand Prix has begun its ten-year F1 contract and expects to become a regular home of the world-renowned event.

VIP experiences are available which include F1 Insider Access, an exclusive pit lane walk, guided paddock access, and trackside hospitality.

Palm Court, Miami Design District

Palm Court is one of the United States’ most luxurious shopping malls. The space is well equipped to host private dinners, art shows, music performances, and fashion events.
Architecturally stunning, Palm Court is home to an iconic geodesic dome designed by the legendary architect Buckminster Fuller and boasts over 50 palm trees of various species. Visitors also find an extensive collection of high-end timepieces and jewelry brands, which means Palm Courts also often attracts celebrities and famous names from all over the country. You’ll also find public art installations, designer boutiques, and an array of high-end dining options.

The famous New York Acquavella Galleries will be present at Art Basel Miami Beach with some of the most prestigious masterworks from artists such as Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, George Condo, Keith Haring, Willem de Kooning, and Wayne Thiebaud.

The gallery specialises in 19th, 20th, and 21st-century art, particularly the masters of Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, Cubism, and Surrealism. For over 100 years, it has sold major paintings and sculptures to private collectors and museums worldwide. Visit their stand in Art Basel Miami Beach’s main sector.

Tim Bengel’s Who Wants to Live Forever?

Known for his hyper-detailed gold-leaf embellished sand paintings and the monumental public artwork ‘Flower Skull Cemetery’ (2019) displayed by the Berlin Wall, Tim Bengel is a social media sensation and one of the most exciting young contemporary artists out of Germany.

At Art Basel Miami Beach, his works on display include an avocado toast sculpture cast in more than 26 pounds of pure gold. Modelled on a real avocado bagel, the artwork consists of twenty-seven individual golden parts and can be seen at booth #AM 210, Galerie Rother, and purchased for an asking price of roughly $3 million.

RAW EXPRESSION FROM PUNK ME TENDER

Born in France in 1982, the mysterious artist Punk Me Tender is known for his graphic, raw form of expression. Beginning as a promising street artist in LA, he left his mark with some of the city’s most impressive murals. Today, the rising star explores mixed mediums including graffiti art and photography to produce striking statements on modern culture and fashion.

His current three-dimensional works draw inspiration from women, style, and desire—one of the biggest drivers of the human soul. In an attempt to break down stereotypes and open people's perspectives, the artist's work offers a sense of empowered female sexuality and freedom. He will be there showcasing his latest work with the CEO of
EliteLyfe Niko Contardi at booth C10.

THE AMBITIOUS MERIDIANS SECTOR

Meridians is a curated sector at Art Basel Miami Beach that goes beyond the limits of the conventional art fair. The fixed event presents large-scale sculptures and paintings, installations, film, video projections, and live performances in the Grand Ballroom.

Curated by the director of Museo Tamayo in Mexico City, the sector has a strong focus on works from the Americas and includes over thirty projects from artists such as John M. Arm leader, Sam Francis, Isaac Julien, Tina Girouard, and Adam Pendleton.

NFTs & Classic Art from Pace Gallery

The leading international Pace Gallery is on display in the main exhibition hall, representing some of the most influential contemporary artists from the past century.

The gallery has a strong focus on digital technologies, among them light, sound, video, and software, including several NFTs following the launch of its dedicated NFT platform. Major works from artists such as Beatriz Milhazes, Maya Lin, Jules de Balincourt, Wifredo Lam, and William Monk will also be on show.

Towering Artwork at Miami Mural Festival

Over the same dates, the Miami Mural Festival is taking over Flagler Street to display 500,000 square feet of new murals with no admission fee.

The initiative provides a platform for local and international street artists and will showcase a series of large-scale experiential digital art exhibitions, as well as fifteen live murals which are being painted throughout the week.

Here we are going to guide you through what the process of planning and booking a luxury travel experience with Elitelyfe looks like. We understand that your most valuable asset is time, and the following simple steps are designed to help you safeguard it and enjoy your trip as much as possible.

  1. REACH OUT TO OUR LUXURY TRAVEL TEAM

Every trip starts with an email or call. This can be as simple as telling us what you are planning — a vacation, birthday, event, etc. — or it could be an already complete and highly detailed vision of what you need.

We ask the right questions to gather as many details about what you like/dislike as possible. The more information you provide us with at this stage, the quicker and more accurate we will be in shortlisting properties or destinations we feel meet your needs.

Once our team has a clear image of your expectations and needs, we begin the process of gathering options. Most of our clients’ needs and preferences are based upon the following:

  • Location: Beachfront or mountaintop? City break or island-hopping trip?

  • Size: Big enough for an extended family or a cozy cabin for 2? Proximity or privacy?

  • Dates: High season or low season? Special fixed date or flexible?

  • Services: Full service or self-catering? Luxury transfers, excursions, event tickets?

  • Budget: Blowout or budget luxury vacation? Fixed or flexible?

    2. THE INITIAL REVIEW

For the next steps, our team will be busy scouring for the best options to fulfill your needs. Once we have a selection we are happy with, within a couple of days we send over the initial personalized proposals of the trip for your review.

You will first receive an email from a member of our team with the proposal. In this email, we will also set up a call at a convenient time to review the options based on what was sourced and located.

On this call, 90% of our clients are already happy to confirm options from the provided selection and are ready to move on to the next step. If more options are needed, no problem — our personalized service means we don’t quit until we find exactly what fits your needs.

3. THE CONTRACT AND PAYMENT PHASE

The vast majority of clients reach this phase within a few weeks. However, it may take longer for trips that require more exclusive arrangements and organization.

The contracts we provide here at EliteLyfe are in line with industry best practices and are designed to protect all parties — especially you, the client. The personalized and protected service we provide is one of the major reasons why clients book with us.

All of the contracts are sent to you digitally to save time. At this stage, we request the full payment before moving on to the next stage. Most of our clients execute payments via wire, but we are able to accommodate a range of payment options.

4. PLANNING THE DETAILS

Once the contracts are signed and the payments are made, the really exciting part of the process gets underway. This is the trip planning stage, in which we work with you to determine the exact specifications of your vacation or event — right down to the very last detail.

We can plan the trip in as much o as little detail as you want, with as much or as little guidance from your personal luxury travel designer as you need. Everything from unique excursions, fun in-villa experiences, and yacht events to your favorite type of water, alcohol, and afternoon snack is accounted for.

Your travel designer is always on hand throughout the process to make sure the details are right and really make your trip extra special.

5. ENJOYING YOUR PERSONALIZED LUXURY TRIP

The process of preparing your luxury travel experience can take anywhere from between 2 weeks to 2 months, depending on the length and complexity of the trip. We pride ourselves on efficient communication and close relationships with our clients and partners, allowing for a smooth and swift planning and booking process.

Once we’ve finalized the itinerary and orchestrated all the moving parts of your trip, the only thing left to do is to sit back and enjoy! We offer a platinum concierge program included in every booking, so you can rest assured we will be on hand from the time you leave your house to the time you return home from the trip.

Once your trip is complete, an EliteLyfe team member will follow up with you to review the

overall experience and close out the security deposits and any outstanding trip invoices.

Once reconciled, we set you free and remain just a call or email away for when you decide to start to plan your next adventure!

Looking to book your next luxury travel experience but not sure where to start? Or already have a complete vision of an exclusive trip? Contact our expert luxury travel team and we will guide you through the whole process to ensure it becomes a reality.
